Sustainable Development Commission

Committee Description

In order to ensure the successful follow-up of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), also known as the Earth Summit, the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) was set up by the UN General Assembly in December 1992.

The SDC has been extremely participatory in nature and perspective since its inception, involving a wide variety of official stakeholders and collaborators through creative formulas in its structured proceedings.

In order to create a stronger and more prosperous future for all, the Sustainable Development Commission strives to find alternatives.
