Committee Description

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, established in 11th of December 1946 by the United Nations, is a UN organ that aims to protect the rights of every child, since they believe all children have a right to survive, thrive and fulfill their potential - to the benefit of a better world. Their goals include many of the Sustainable Development goals which include the benefits of children such as SDG 6, 3, 4 and 9. UNICEF has worked in 190 countries and territories for 70 years, improving the lives of children and their families. They work with the United Nations and other United Nations agencies to make sure that children are on the global agenda. UNICEF has also worked with organizations they have partnered with to achieve their goal.
