The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime was established in 1977, with the prime goal of eradicating international crime, particularly relating to the use of illicit drugs. The organ pushes to achieve minimal terrorism, drug abuse, corruption, and criminal trafficking worldwide and assists any Member Nation in need regarding such issues. There are up to 150 Member Nations along with 20 field offices. Within the Sustainable Development Goals, UNODC also focuses on helping individuals who reside in regions, in which they may have suffered from such crimes such as drug abuse, to be able to promote the dangers of such crimes and ensure justice in such regions.
